PROBLEMS

Hi everyone

I am experiencing problems with blogspot. I am unable to leave a comment on anyone's blog and I don't think they can make a comment on mine.

I hope that the problem is being sorted by the customer service team, I have reported it but it's been some days now.

Hope to be back up and running soon but I won't be posting any cards until then. I will however, be visiting your blogs as usual.

Whiff of Joy Challenge

I made this card for this weeks Whiff of Joy Challenge, a fab sketch from Heather. I used paper piecing on my stamped image and matched the backing papers to this. I used tiny red border flowers which I also used in her basket. I made a tiny red ribbon bow for her hair and used big yellow felt flowers for contrast. I used a butterfly punch for the red butterflies.

Whiff of Joy Charms Challenge

Well in Cheshire today it's been very wet. I was expecting thunder but it didn't come, the dog was glad about that. I've done a bit of a watering theme for the Whiff of Joy Charms challenge, probably brought on by the weather. I used:

  • Magnolia Tilda with Scarf Stamp
  • Windsor & Newton Watercolour paints to colour her
  • I used my cricut machine to cut the caterpillar, watering can and backing disc for Tilda
  • I used papers from papercraft weekly
  • I picked up the butterfly charm from a magazine 'free'
  • I bought the flowers from a craft stall at a Create and Craft event
  • The sentiment was also free with a craft magazine

My card for the Lili of the Valley Thursday Challenge
Pink, Green, Blue.
I've used:

  • Various backing papers
  • Image Stamp is from Funky Kits coloured with watercolour paints
  • Flowersoft was used on the hat, basket of flowers and on the ground
  • I used a small flower stamp for the background
  • Pink paper roses, pink and blue check ribbon and pink button was used for the decoration
  • Card butterflies were added, unfortunately I didn't have pink green or blue so they had to be lemon for a contrast.

Lili of th Valley Thursday Challenge

I made this card for the Lili of the Valley Thursday Challenge. I used a pink and white check backing paper on a white card. I've added two bars of brown and white spot card and then mounted a plain pink square onto a brown and white spot square. I used Stampabilities Bunny Bath stamp, coloured it with watercolour paints then cut and coloured a second bath and decoupaged this onto the image. I added a piece of towelling over the side of the bath and made a towelling bath rug which I stamped the sentiment onto. I decorated the corners with pink paper flowers.

A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge 49

This is my first challenge I have entered. I used green backing paper from Kay & Co. The image is a flower fairy 'Zinnia', stamps and CD can be obtained from Crafters Companion. I finished the card with blue and green ribbon and green paper roses and added the sentiment and coloured the text in green.

Penny B Mouse

I used a 'Penny Black' stamp for this card coloured with metallic paints and stamp pad inks. I've added tiny ribbon bows to the flower stems and decoupaged the stamped flowers. The pink daisy embellishments I picked up at a craft show, the sentiment was free with a craft magazine.
For this card I used one of the fabulous Sugar Nelli stamps only available from 'Funky Kits'. I coloured the image with watercolour pens and added a silk flower and leaves and a shrinked down sentiment. Lace and ribbon that I had in my odds and ends box was added. Checked backing paper is from Kay & Co.

I made this card for one of the challenges but was too late to enter. The decoupage fairy image is from the Crafter's Companion Flower Fairies CD. I mounted this on backing paper which I aged with a tea bag, this was then mounted onto corrugated square and placed onto a deep brown card. I added gem centred felt flowers and amber coloured gems.
